MORE INFO ABOUT US :

💸 This is only our travelling lifestyle related expenses. We own properties, two cars and the caravan. Our 2nd car and property expenses have been omitted from the stats because they aren't relevant to travel. I would love to bore you with tales of replacing hot water systems and how amazing our new real estate property managers are, but I won't, for now 😉

⚡️We live off the grid and free camp for 90% of the time. This saves us loads of money on camping and caravan park fees. When we do stay in caravan parks we are able to camp on unpowered sites.

We head off the beaten track and seek out 4wd tracks wherever we go. A family fun day out for us does include 4wding and this means we do use more fuel and we carry spare fuel so we are always prepared for an adventure.

✔️Our set up is modest and works well for our purpose and our budget. The caravan is a breeze to tow and our vehicle is very fuel efficient. Our current set up averages 14.0L/100km while towing on Mud Terrain tyres and when fully loaded.

🍾We like good food and drinks. Its not uncommon for us to have a gourmet cheese platter at the ready. We rarely eat junkie take away food but we do drink so you could save a lot by being alcohol free!

THANKYOU !

🙏🏻 Thank you for following along, we love sharing our experiences of #lappingozlife and look forward to another year of epic travel across Australia!

WHAT'S NEXT FOR US :

💪🏻We are super excited about heading north in 2019 and exploring Cape York, the Top End and WA.

We are saving the BEST til last, what do you reckon??

Our previously published travelling budget for the first six months:

The total of our first six months of travelling expenses came in at $18,228 and our average weekly costs was $701.

If we had avoided Tasmania because of the cost of the Spirit of Tasmania tickets, we would have spent $16,177 and our average costs would have been $622 per week. Don't miss out on Tassie because of the price of the ferry tickets, its an amazing state and there is tonnes of free camping available for you to enjoy once you get there. We could have held off getting the new tyres but we wanted to venture in to The Outback with a new set to avoid any incidents due to the age of the tyres. The new tyres cost $1550 and are an investment for our many years of future travel.

AVERAGE WEEKLY COST FOR OUR FIRST SIX MONTHS - $701

AVERAGE WEEKLY COST FOR OUR FIRST TWELVE MONTHS - $810
See you on the road!
