First the basics
We are a family of four and left Sydney about four years ago to travel Australia. We drive a ute, towing a pop top caravan.
Did we sell our house to fund our trip?
We didn’t sell our house (but we will when we find somewhere else to settle). Our property was a good candidate for a rental, we could afford to keep it, so we did.
Why travel Australia?
Life was good in the ‘burbs but we knew life could be better. We knew travelling Australia made us happy, so we decided to do more of it. We had a desire to change. It was a simple decision.
A pre loved van for us
Our caravan isn’t brand spanking new but it is perfect for our needs and a nice compromise between a full size van and a camper trailer. You’re not going to see gorgeous white interiors, with light coloured throws and cushions because that shit don’t work on the road in real life.
Chomped on by the travel bug
We've travelled a fair bit across Australia. We completed our first big lap in our 20's. That was in a tent for 16 months. We've gone a bit upper class now, with our pop top caravan..
What's the website all about?
The lappingoz website is a hobby job for me (Mia.) I like writing and creating and the site is always evolving and revolving around lapping up the Australian way of life. There is info about our set up, places we’ve been and product reviews. Oh, and I love to write about Aussie caravan renovations, so you’ll find that stuff on there too.

We are here because we just want you to SEE how much WE BLOODY LOVE Australia! We want you to love Australia too. We want you to plan your own adventure. We want you to get itchy feet and take a trip. For the weekend, a week, a month or a year. It does not matter, we just want you to SEE AUSTRALIA.
